Home News & Events Mars Day – A Stellar Success!
We here at ADL are thrilled to share the highlights of our recent Mars Day event held on 4th March. Our students had an incredible time engaging in a variety of exciting activities and live sessions that replaced their usual lessons for the day.
The event featured fascinating talks and Q&A sessions with space experts, including the renowned British astronaut Tim Peake, who graciously answered some of our students’ questions. The day was filled with interactive workshops, such as building Martian rovers, and special sessions like Mars Hour, where students joined thousands of schools nationwide in Mars-related activities.
Our students learned about the future of human spaceflight, the latest missions from the UK Space Agency, and the rigorous training astronauts undergo for the ISS. They also explored the science behind Mars with the BBC team.
We are proud of our students’ enthusiasm and participation in this out-of-this-world experience. Thank you to everyone who made Mars Day a stellar success!
